What causes a remote node or repeater to go down but not reconnect when autoreconnect is on.
What causes your node to get stuck on connecting………
Rebooting fixes it but why?

The problem is not actually with you node its with the hub. The node is reconnecting with the hub so fast that the hub has blocked retries. Giving this error in the hubs log.
WARNING[1338] chan_iax2.c: Max retries exceeded to host
I was only able to debug this by running my own HUB and watching the errors.

The solution is to force disconnect and wait a min then reconnect. Thats why rebooting works. But you don’t need to reboot you just need to stop and wait a min for the hub to clear its error. This could happen if you internet goes down and comes back up. You hear this often my remote repeater has bad internet and wont reconnect.

I am building a automated fix for this in the Node Manager Look for it in the next release.
